Actually we are introducing the Blackout 5,000,000 Stun Gun, but at the rate things are going I would not be surprised to see a company claim to have a 50,000,000 volt stun gun in the near future. Obviously there are many stun gun brands on the market and I appreciate the trust you have placed in us by choosing to purchase Streetwise Stun Guns. As the president of the company I am committed to maintaining that trust which is why I wanted to personally explain how I think our new Blackout 5,000,000 will allow you to compete aggressively yet honestly in a market where voltage claims seem to rising faster than the national debt! Our company mission statement is to be the most trusted provider of innovative products for self-defense, security and peace of mind. So I have struggled over how our company can maintain its integrity and still provide our dealers with stun guns that can compete with the exaggerated voltage figures that have become so common today. I feel that we have accomplished this by removing the word “volts” from the name and simply calling our new model the Blackout 5,000,000 and adding the following sentence to our packaging and website “Actual voltage output is difficult to measure and verify, but this unit compares to other brands that claim to be 5,000,000 or more volts.” This allows you to have a higher number on the packaging while providing the confidence that all information on your website and packaging is true (those false advertising lawsuits aren’t much anyway! LOL)

We also felt the need to increase the model number from 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 because customers would see stun guns claiming to be 4 or 5 millions VOLTS and would ask us if we had anything “stronger” than our 3,000,000 (SF3000RB or SF3000RH). The problem was that our SF3000 units were already more powerful than these other models but it was impossible to tell unless a customer compared our unit side by side with another brand claiming higher voltage or they actually tried both units on themselves as one person did (read his first hand encounter here).

The Blackout 5,000,000 will carry the same lifetime limited warranty as our other models, includes the same great features (built in recharging prongs, disable pin- which is optional, rubberized grip, and led charge indicator to help prevent the unit from over charging) and is covered under our $1,000,000 product liability insurance policy. Just a note to those who sell other brands besides Streetwise (not sure why anyone would)- be SURE that you check with your other suppliers to confirm that they have product liability insurance and can add you to their policy. This type of insurance on stun guns is VERY expensive and unfortunately most suppliers do not have it. Like most insurance you will probably never need it but you don’t want to find out “after the fact” that you are on your own if you have a problem with another brand.
