DOING BUSINESS WITH US: Drop Shipping
Drop shipping is a service where we ship a product or products that your customer has ordered from you directly to them, instead of us shipping the product to you and you in turn shipping out to your customer. This saves both time and money by removing a step, allows your customers to get their orders faster and enables you to sell products that you do not even have to stock. The shipping label we put on the box will have your name and address in the return address section, so it looks like it came directly from you. We will not put an invoice or packing list on the box, or anything that identifies us. Your customer will never know we even exist.
In order to place a drop ship order with us you must be set up as an Authorized Drop Shipper (ADS). An individual or company can set up an ADS account with us for the cost of $50 per year, but you can opt for our 3 year special for $99 (a savings of $51). In order to become an ADS you can sign up by following the link below. There you will create an online account where you can place your drop ship orders anytime you want. Also, your online account will store a record of all drop ship orders you have placed with us, and you can log in and change account information, such as your credit card, without having to call us.
Once you are signed up as an ADS you are able to place as many drop ship orders as you would like. Drop Ship orders must be placed by means of the online account described above, by e-mailing (orders@cuttingedgeproducts.net) or by fax (252-830-5542). After we receive the order it is sent out to our warehouse for pulling and packing. Each order is double checked before packing to insure accuracy and then checked again after packing to insure proper packing. We will ship it out as quickly as possible, but all orders will ship within 1 to 2 business days unless there is something unusually complex about it. The Postal Service, Fed Ex and UPS come to our facility twice a day, so you (or your customer) have a choice between these 3 shipping carriers.
Drop ship orders must be paid for by credit card before they are shipped out. Each order will have 3 separate charges: the product, the drop ship charge and for shipping:
1. The product: for drop ship orders we charge you the starting wholesale price for the product (or products) your customer has ordered. This price is hidden from the general public on our web site but will be plainly visible after you login.
2. The drop ship charge: The drop ship charge (DSC) is $2.50 per order (regardless of the number of items in the order). (Note: it is $5.00 for international orders).
3. Shipping: We charge the standard UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS rates. There is no mark up added to these rates.
A copy of the invoice, with a complete break down of charges and the tracking number, will be e-mailed to any e-mail address that you want the same day the order ships out.
We ship hundreds of drop ship orders every week, but we still take the time to have each and every one checked by two people to insure that the proper items have been pulled, that it is packed properly, that it is addressed correctly, that it does not show our name anywhere on the box and that any special requests that a customer may have made have been addressed. What is drop shipping?
Drop shipping is a service that we provide for our customers. When we drop ship an order we ship your customer's order directly to them for you. We do not put any of our company information anywhere in or on the box.
What do I have to do to get started and is there a fee involved?
You must become an Authorized Drop Shipper (ADS) in order to have us drop ship for you. There is an annual fee of $50.00. This allows you to submit an unlimited number of drop ship orders for a period of one year. If you prefer, you can sign up for a period of three years for $99.00 (a savings of $51).
Once I am an authorized drop shipper how do I submit a drop ship order?
Drop Ship orders must be placed by one of the following three methods:
1. Through your ADS online account, which you create when you become an ADS (see tab above)
2. By sending an e-mail to orders@cuttingedgeproducts.net
3. By sending a fax to: (252)830-5542.
Please note that we can not accept drop ship orders over the phone.
What price am I charged for the product(s) when I have an order drop shipped?
You will be charged the starting wholesale price for the product(s) that your customer orders.
What other charges are there when I have an order drop shipped?
First, there is a $2.50 drop ship charge (DSC) for each shipment within the continental United States to cover the cost of the box, packing material, labor, etc. This charge is per order, not per item, so it would be $2.50 regardless of the number of items in the order. Second, you would be charged for shipping costs. We charge the standard UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS rates; there is no mark up added to these rates.
How much are shipping charges for drop shipped orders?
The shipping charge depends on the carrier, level of service, destination, and weight of the package. Before actually packing the order it is impossible to provide an exact shipping cost. However, you can click the link below to receive an estimate of your shipping charges. How do I pay for my orders?
All drop ship orders must be paid for by credit card the day they ship. Note: If we do not have a valid credit card on file for you, or if your credit card is declined, the order will not ship. We will contact you by e-mail to let you know.
How long does it take before you ship my drop ship order after I have placed it?
We will ship it out as quickly as possible, but all orders will ship within 1 to 2 business days unless there is something unusually complex about it.
How long does it take my order to get to my customer via USPS Priority Mail or Parcel Post?
Priority Mail takes 2 to 3 days to get to your customer while Parcel Post can take up to 7 days. Please note that Saturdays are included (Sundays are not).
How long does it take my order to get to my customer via UPS Ground?
You can use the map below to determine the number of days it will take for an order sent UPS regular ground to get to your customer. We ship from our warehouse in Winterville, NC. Please note that Saturdays and Sundays are not included.

How long does it take my order to get to my customer via Fed Ex ground or home delivery?
You can use the map below to determine the number of days it will take for an order sent Fed EX ground to get to your customer. We ship from our warehouse in Winterville, NC. Fed Ex ground serves business addresses, and delivers Monday through Friday. Fed Ex home delivery serves residences, including businesses out of residences, and delivers Tuesday through Saturday. |

Can I ship orders with express service if I need to?
Yes, but certain restrictions apply. We can not ship pepper spray by express service; pepper spray must ship by either USPS parcel post, UPS regular ground, or Fed Ex ground. Also, please keep in mind that it may still take 1 to 2 business days to ship your order, even though it is an express service.
Can I place drop ship orders for destinations outside the United States?
Yes, but certain restrictions apply. We can not drop ship orders of pepper spray, stun guns or stun batons outside the US. Also, orders shipped international are charged a drop ship charge of $5.00. If you want an international drop ship order to ship via UPS or Fed Ex you will have to provide a copy of your commercial invoice. We are required to put this on the box.
